The meeting, presided over by Governor Kim Youngrok, thoroughly checked the progress of all aspects, from preparations for the opening ceremony to promotion and marketing, exhibitions, and overall event operations.
This year's Biennale, under the theme "A New Center of the World Painted in Ink," will feature 83 artists from 20 countries, including the world-renowned art group teamLab.
High-quality exhibitions will be held across Jeollanam-do, including Mokpo, Jindo, and Haenam, to widely promote the value of ink painting, a representative cultural and artistic resource of the region.
Additionally, a variety of mixed-experience programs, such as "Crafts and Paintings Encountered Through Ink," will be offered so that visitors of all ages-including families, couples, and friends-can participate, creating a festival that brings together generations and communities.
Governor Kim stated, "As the Biennale marks its fourth edition, I expect it will present a new direction and showcase its true essence," and added, "I hope that special attention will be paid to providing friendly service to visitors and preventing safety accidents during the event's operation."
