Nationwide Civil Defense Drill for Air Raid Preparedness to Be Held on August 20
From August 18 to 21, the Gwangju Metropolitan Office of Education is conducting the '2025 Eulji Exercise' at 15 institutions, including the main office, the Eastern and Western Education Support Offices, and directly affiliated organizations.
The Eulji Exercise is a nationwide annual drill designed to protect the lives and property of the nation and its people in the event of war, incidents, or other national emergencies of a similar scale.

At the Gwangju Metropolitan Office of Education, around 1,200 staff members are taking part in the exercise.

The training on this day began with an unannounced emergency assembly drill for public officials, followed by situation response exercises to master national emergency procedures, situation report meetings, and discussions on current issues. On August 20, a civil defense drill to prepare for air raids will be conducted nationwide, except in areas declared as special disaster zones.
