Cheongdo County in North Gyeongsang, Designated Special Disaster Area, to Receive Two-Year Reduction in Cadastral Survey Fees: 100% for Housing, 50% for Land
On August 18, North Gyeongsang Province announced that it had requested a reduction in surveying fees from the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport to alleviate the economic burden on local residents of Cheongdo County, which was declared a special disaster area on August 6, 2025, due to extreme heavy rainfall in July, and to facilitate swift recovery efforts. The ministry has approved the fee reduction.
The fee reduction applies to cadastral surveys (such as parcel division, boundary restoration, and cadastral status surveys) commissioned to the Korea Land and Geospatial Informatix Corporation for flood damage recovery. Residents can receive the reduction for two years from the date the special disaster area was declared.
To receive the fee reduction, applicants must submit a “Damage Confirmation Certificate” detailing the damage in accordance with the Natural Disaster Countermeasures Act when applying for a cadastral survey. Residential properties are eligible for a 100% fee reduction, while all other cases receive a 50% reduction.
Since 2024, of the total 1,919 cases of cadastral surveying fee reductions in special disaster areas within the province due to large-scale wildfires and flood damage, 1,768 cases involved residential properties (100% reduction), and 151 cases were for other types of properties (50% reduction).
