LG Chem is launching an initiative to discover creative social contribution ideas for a sustainable future.
On August 18, LG Chem announced that it will hold the "Recycle Social Contribution Impact Challenge" contest in partnership with the international relief and development NGO, Korea Food for the Hungry International. The purpose of this contest is to find creative ideas that can transform local communities and everyday life by recycling discarded resources.

View original imageThe theme of the contest is "How to transform communities and daily life by giving new purpose to discarded resources." The evaluation will focus on social contribution ideas that utilize recycling technologies. In particular, additional points will be awarded for ideas that make use of waste plastic related to LG Chem's business. Examples include assistive devices for people with disabilities, playground equipment, lighting, and household items.
Applications will be accepted from August 18 to September 19, 2025, through the online platform "Gidae Plus." The six teams selected as finalists will receive products made with LG Chem's eco-friendly materials.
