Gyeonggi Province to Offer Free Children's Horse Experience Program; Applications Open August 25
Gyeonggi Province will offer the "Gyeonggi Children's Horse Experience" completely free of charge for daycare centers and kindergartens in the province from September to November.
On August 18, Gyeonggi Province announced that applications for participation in the second half of the year will be accepted starting August 25 through the "Gyeonggi Sharing Service" website (https://share.gg.go.kr).
This experience program will be held at the Gyeonggi Livestock Promotion Center (located in Namsa-eup, Cheoin-gu, Yongin-si) and will include a variety of activities such as horseback riding, bonding with horses, and craft-making. The program will take place twice a week, every Tuesday and Thursday.
Up to 40 children aged five and older can participate. To ensure fair opportunities for all, duplicate applications from the same daycare center or kindergarten are not allowed.
Lee Yangsu, Director of the Gyeonggi Livestock Promotion Center, said, "We hope that through the horse experience, children will be able to overcome their curiosity and fear of animals, and learn the values of confidence and respect for life. We will continue to operate these experience programs so that even more children can participate in the future."
