View original imageThe Jeollanam-do International Agriculture Expo Foundation held a meeting at the provincial government office on the 13th to support the successful hosting of the 2025 International Agriculture Expo. During the meeting, the foundation reviewed the collaborative system among various departments of Jeonnam Province, and discussed detailed support plans and strategies to address current issues.
Department heads responsible for supporting the expo, as well as representatives from Naju, the host city, attended the meeting to share updates on preparations and to discuss concrete measures for cooperation in areas such as transportation, environmental maintenance, and publicity.
The meeting covered a wide range of support measures for the expo, including: inviting international buyers and supporting export consultation sessions; promoting the event and developing related tourism products through tourist information centers; operating booths for the sale of eco-friendly agricultural products and food; strengthening safety management at the event site; and inspecting major access roads.
Naju, the host city, pledged active cooperation in various areas, including promotion and tourism-linked support, operation of the Namdo Food Hall, provision of shuttle bus stops and transportation support, performances by a traditional Korean music group, safety inspections and disease control for facilities, as well as maintenance of the surrounding environment and road infrastructure.
Myung Changhwan, Vice Governor for Administrative Affairs of Jeonnam Province, emphasized, "Jeonnam Province departments and Naju must work as one team to ensure the successful hosting of the expo. We will continuously monitor the implementation of each department's plans on site, respond quickly to any issues that arise, and do our utmost to make this expo an event that showcases the stature of Korean agriculture to the world."
The Jeonnam-do International Agriculture Expo Foundation plans to use this meeting as a starting point to thoroughly review preparations and further strengthen cooperation systems until the expo opens. Through these efforts, the foundation aims to ensure that the 2025 International Agriculture Expo becomes a premier platform for showcasing the competitiveness of K-Agriculture to the world and sharing the latest technologies and information in the agricultural sector.

The 2025 International Agriculture Expo will be held under the theme "Agriculture Changes the World: Agricultural Innovation with AI, K-Agriculture Cultivating Life," from October 23 to 29 for seven days at the Jeonnam Agricultural Research and Extension Services. The expo will feature a variety of programs, including exhibitions of cutting-edge agricultural technologies, demonstrations of future agriculture, international export consultations, agricultural product promotion and sales, and cultural performances, offering domestic and international visitors new perspectives on the value of agriculture.
