Pocheon City and LH Share Costs to Ease Financial Burden
Pocheon City in Gyeonggi Province (Mayor Baek Younghyeon) announced on August 14 that it had signed an emergency housing support agreement with the Northern Gyeonggi Regional Headquarters of Korea Land and Housing Corporation (Director Kim Seongyeon) on August 13.
This agreement aims to support stable housing for residents who lost their homes due to the heavy rainfall in July. Through the agreement, Pocheon City will be able to provide disaster victims with access to rental housing managed by LH within the city.
To reduce the financial burden on those affected, Pocheon City will fully waive the rental deposit, while the monthly rent will be split equally between LH Corporation and Pocheon City, with each covering 50%.
