Man in His 60s Riding Electric Bicycle Dies After Being Hit by Right-Turning Trailer in Changwon

View original imageAt approximately 4:55 p.m. on August 13, a man in his 60s, identified as A, who was riding an electric bicycle, was struck by a trailer making a right turn at an unsignalized three-way intersection in Jinhae-gu, Changwon-si, Gyeongnam.
As a result of the accident, A sustained serious injuries and died while being transported to the hospital.
It has been reported that on this one-lane road, A attempted to overtake the vehicle from the rear right side while the trailer had briefly stopped at the intersection to make a right turn, and then collided with the rear wheel area of the trailer's cab.
At the time of the accident, the trailer driver, a man in his 60s identified as B, was neither under the influence of alcohol nor driving without a license.
