"37 Billion KRW Resident Tax"... Sejong City Payment Due by September 1
On August 14, Sejong City announced that it has assessed and notified approximately 169,000 cases of resident tax this August, totaling 3.7 billion KRW.
The resident tax is levied in August each year on household heads and individual and corporate business owners who have their address or business premises in Sejong City as of July 1. Payments can be made by visiting a financial institution, using a virtual account, the online Wetax system, or mobile simple payment apps, by September 1. This year, as in the previous year, the city has completely redesigned the resident tax notice in large print to make it easier for elderly taxpayers and others to read.
