Suwon Nambu Fire Station Conducts Comprehensive Inspection of Apartments Without Sprinkler Systems
Suwon Nambu Fire Station in Gyeonggi Province is conducting a comprehensive fire safety inspection of all 839 apartment complexes within its jurisdiction that do not have sprinkler systems installed, with the inspections running through August 31.
This inspection was initiated to prevent the recurrence of similar incidents following the casualties caused by a fire in an old residential complex in Busan in June.
Alongside this comprehensive inspection, Suwon Nambu Fire Station is also conducting on-site checks to verify the maintenance and management of fire protection and evacuation facilities, providing training for relevant personnel on evacuation and escape procedures as well as the use of fire protection equipment, and offering education on major fire prevention measures such as preventing electrical negligence.
