Spectacular Lineup Set for Jeonju Ultimate Music Festival 10th Anniversary
Jeonju City, North Jeolla Province, announced on August 13 that the 'Jeonju Ultimate Music Festival (hereafter JUMF)' will be held for three days from August 15 to 17 at the main stadium of Jeonbuk National University.
This year's 'JUMF', hosted and organized by Jeonju MBC and sponsored by Jeonju City, will celebrate its 10th anniversary with a spectacular lineup under the themes of K-pop & hip-hop, rock & band, and ballad & band.
The festival will kick off on August 15, Liberation Day, with K-pop and hip-hop performances featuring K-bands. On this day, musicians such as FT Island, Glen Check, Romantic Punch, No Brain, and Norazo Metal will energize the festival atmosphere with vibrant stages and performances.
On the same night, 'SORI UP! JUMF NIGHT', a collaborative event between JUMF and the Jeonju International Sori Festival, will be held at the Moijang in Nambu Market, with performances by artists including Peggy Gou, Samsan, and Kim Ddeutdol, keeping the festival excitement alive until dawn.
On the second day, August 16, the festival will feature rock and band performances to help beat the summer heat, with domestic and international bands such as DragonForce, YB, Crying Nut, NEMOPHILA, and JELUSICK delivering dynamic music and passionate shows.
On the final day, August 17, musicians such as NELL, Peppertones, Daybreak, LUCY, and Paul Kim will close out this year’s JUMF with enchanting ballad and band music performances, making the last night of the festival truly memorable.
This year’s JUMF, in particular, is designed with standing zones, picnic zones, and shaded areas so that attendees can fully enjoy the passionate music festival despite the hot summer weather.
In addition, to help attendees cope with the heat, facilities such as water tunnels, air pools, and hydrogen bus cooling shelters will be available. Emergency rescue personnel and ambulances will also be on standby at the venue at all times to assist anyone suffering from heat-related illnesses.
Prior to the festival’s opening, on August 14, Jeonju City plans to conduct a thorough inspection of the festival preparations at the main stadium of Jeonbuk National University, focusing on facilities, electricity, fire safety, traffic, order, and heatwave management, in cooperation with Deokjin Police Station, Deokjin Fire Station, Korea Electrical Safety Corporation Jeonbuk Headquarters, and the Jeonju Safety Management Advisory Committee’s architecture division.
