View original imageThe Community Chest of Korea (Chairman Kim Byungjun) announced on August 12 that employees of the Ministry of Health and Welfare voluntarily raised and donated 19 million won to support relief efforts for the 2025 heavy rain damage. The donation ceremony, held at the Community Chest of Korea headquarters in Jung-gu, Seoul, was attended by Lee Sran, the 1st Vice Minister of Health and Welfare, Kim Byungjun, Chairman of the Community Chest of Korea, Hwang Insik, Secretary General, and staff members from both organizations.
This donation was made possible through the participation of 1,211 employees of the Ministry of Health and Welfare. The funds will be used to support the swift recovery of affected areas-such as Gyeonggi, South Chungcheong, South Jeolla, and South Gyeongsang Provinces-which suffered damage from record-breaking torrential rains, as well as to help displaced residents return to their daily lives.
