10 Types of Examinations Available at Designated Medical Institutions
Uljin County in North Gyeongsang Province (Governor Son Byungbok) is offering free general health checkups for Medical Aid recipients at three medical institutions.
The eligible recipients are Medical Aid beneficiaries aged 20 to 64 who were born in odd-numbered years, totaling 448 individuals as of the end of June 2025. The checkup includes 10 items, such as blood tests and chest X-rays, and is designed to enable the early detection of cardiovascular and cerebrovascular diseases, including hypertension and diabetes.
If additional tests or treatment are required based on the checkup results, recipients can receive ongoing health management in cooperation with the medical institutions.
Uljin County is providing one-on-one personalized counseling calls to inform recipients about the necessity and importance of general health checkups, and is also striving to increase participation rates through individual text messages and mail notifications. The designated medical institutions are Uljin County Medical Center, Orchard Nursing Hospital, and Nuga Clinic. Recipients who complete the checkup will receive a first aid kit as a commemorative gift.
