This event will discuss the direction of policies related to natural heritage, such as natural monuments and scenic sites. Under the theme 'The Direction and Future of Natural Heritage Policy,' the forum will introduce the five-year plan for natural heritage protection, which will be implemented from this year through 2029, and review the future direction of policy initiatives.
Jeon Heeyoung, honorary researcher at the Korea Institute of Geoscience and Mineral Resources, will present the current status of natural heritage specimen storage facilities and discuss issues to consider for systematic management and utilization.
