The event features recommended books for Liberation Day that allow participants to remember the noble sacrifices and dedication of the nation's fallen patriots.
All proceeds from the campaign will be donated in full to the Korean Red Cross in October and will be used to support the descendants of independence activists. When users purchase campaign-exclusive merchandise using Yes24 points, Yes24 will convert the deducted points into cash and donate the equivalent amount.
For more details on how to participate in the donation, users can select their desired book on the campaign page and choose the 'Mugunghwa & Taegeukgi Patch + Independence Activist Bookmark Set' as a gift. The YES points deducted for selecting this gift are 3,000 won, and the final donation amount will be determined by the quantity of goods selected.
In addition, Yes24 is running the '#KoreanIndependenceForever' handwriting challenge through the Sarak reading community until September 30. Participants can hand-copy a sentence from one of the recommended Liberation Day books introduced on the campaign page, take a photo of it, and upload it to Sarak with the required hashtag '#KoreanIndependenceForever' to receive a 500-won YES gift certificate for everyone who participates.
Cho Sunyoung, Head of the Book Business Division at Yes24, said, "It is very meaningful to be able to participate in a donation campaign to support the descendants of independence activists who sacrificed for future generations, especially during this important 80th anniversary of liberation. I hope people will take this opportunity to reflect on the meaning of independence through the recommended books and handwriting challenge, and also enjoy collecting the specially made commemorative merchandise."
