Samsung Fire & Marine Insurance Introduces Telemedicine Service on 'Anyfit Plus'
Collaboration with NamaneuiDoctor
Medical Consultation, Prescription, and Medication Pickup Anytime, Anywhere
Samsung Fire & Marine Insurance announced on August 12 that it has partnered with the telemedicine platform NamaneuiDoctor to launch a telemedicine-linked service through its digital healthcare service, Anyfit Plus.
Since August 7, Anyfit Plus users have been able to easily access medical consultation services anytime and anywhere via a telemedicine service banner within the application.
Users who have installed the NamaneuiDoctor app can directly select the pharmacy where they wish to receive their prescribed medication and choose the desired time for pickup.
NamaneuiDoctor is a regulatory sandbox-approved platform for medical MyData. It plans to pursue various collaborations in connection with Samsung Fire & Marine Insurance’s mid- to long-term healthcare strategy, such as MyData-based health management and personalized disease management.
According to Samsung Fire & Marine Insurance’s analysis of its own medical expense claim data, customers using telemedicine platforms are utilizing these services primarily for the management of chronic conditions such as skin diseases, diabetes, hypertension, and hyperlipidemia.
Lee Haeseong, Executive Director of the Healthcare Business Team at Samsung Fire & Marine Insurance, said, “Telemedicine is particularly effective in improving adherence to health behaviors among patients with chronic diseases who require ongoing management,” and added, “We will continue to provide meaningful support to help safeguard our customers’ daily lives and enhance their quality of life.”
