Uijeongbu City in Gyeonggi Province (Mayor Kim Dongkeun) attracted significant public attention by holding a unique local tax promotion event with the AI robot 'Sejeongui' at the Uijeongbu Station concourse on August 8.

View original imageOn that day, Sejeongui and staff from the city's Taxation Division actively informed citizens visiting Uijeongbu Station about the resident tax payment month, as well as the electronic delivery and automatic transfer application systems for local taxes.
Citizens, who were introduced to Sejeongui's friendly appearance and intuitive guidance, interacted directly with the robot's screen to access necessary tax information and showed great interest by taking commemorative photos with Sejeongui.
Individuals subject to the resident tax are required to pay 11,000 won by August 31. However, taxpayers who have applied in advance for electronic delivery and automatic transfer will receive a 1,600 won discount and pay 9,400 won.
