Sharing Detailed Training Plans and Conducting Unannounced Emergency Assemblies
Joint Review of Response Systems with Relevant Organizations Ahead of the Eulji Exercise
On August 8, Pohang City held a 'Detailed Implementation Plan Briefing Meeting' in the main conference room at City Hall to ensure the successful execution of the 2025 Eulji Exercise, which will take place over four days from August 18 to 21.
Approximately 100 people attended the meeting, including officials from relevant organizations such as military units, the police station, the fire station, as well as city hall employees. The meeting included training on this year's revised exercise content and key focus areas for the drill.
The 2025 Eulji Exercise consists of practical programs, beginning with an unannounced emergency assembly of all public officials, wartime organizational restructuring and dispersal and relocation drills for administrative agencies, and a wartime issue discussion based on a scenario involving a passenger aircraft drone attack, all designed to simulate real wartime situations.
In particular, the civil defense evacuation drill, which simulates an air raid, will involve direct participation from citizens. The focus will be on raising citywide security awareness and strengthening emergency response capabilities.
