[Conference Call] Naver to Expand 'AI Briefing' to 20% of Searches This Year... AI Tab Coming Next Year
Naver will expand the application of its AI-powered search feature, AI Briefing, to cover up to 20% of searches within this year. The company also plans to introduce an AI Tab next year, which will provide personalized search results through conversations with AI.
On the morning of August 8, Choi Sooyoun, CEO of Naver, said during the second quarter earnings conference call, "AI Briefing has been expanded to 8% of all search results and has grown into a service used by 30 million monthly users. We will increase the application of AI Briefing to 20%, which is higher than our initial target, and further enhance the search experience by launching a conversational AI Tab next year."
At the end of March this year, Naver launched the 'AI Briefing' service, which provides AI-based summary results in integrated search and Naver Plus Store. Depending on the search keyword, the AI automatically summarizes and presents the search results. Next year, the company plans to introduce an AI Tab (tentative name) as a separate tab in integrated search, which will offer conversation-based search results.
