With the final selection for the Glocal University program approaching, the event aimed to share the core strategies and current preparations for advancing as a "Manufacturing AX Global Hub University." The goal was to complete the "Glocal University Blueprint" with support from university members.


The briefing was led by Choi Sunwook, head of the RISE Project Group. Choi Sunwook explained the "Manufacturing AX Global Hub University," which is central to the Glocal University initiative, and provided a detailed overview of the need for AI transformation (AX) in Gyeongnam's manufacturing sector, such as the "Gyeongnam-style manufacturing innovation-physical AI development centered on Kyungnam University," as well as the university's accumulated innovation capabilities in preparing for digital transformation.


Choi Sunwook also discussed the revised core objectives and detailed tasks compared to last year, including: the establishment and refinement of a phased AX expansion model by year, the application of corporate models in connection with the Global Research Center for Large-scale Manufacturing AI, and the necessity of AX transformation in the manufacturing industry.


Next, Yoo Namhyun, head of the Gyeongnam Intelligence Innovation Project Group, gave a presentation on the "Large-scale Manufacturing AI Standard Model."



Approximately 300 faculty and staff members from Kyungnam University attended the event, reaffirming their commitment to the Glocal University initiative and engaging in a time of open communication to exchange diverse opinions on innovation strategies among university members.
