View original imageFutureScape by Samsung C&T is a program that identifies startups with innovative technologies and ideas, provides opportunities for market validation, and supports scale-up through business partnerships and other means. This year, Samsung C&T expanded the recruitment fields beyond construction and increased the number of selected companies from six last year to twelve.
This year, the program operates with two tracks: the 'Proof-of-Concept Track,' which conducts business validation based on collaboration with Samsung C&T, and the 'Future Track,' which jointly develops collaboration models with early-stage startups that have high potential. In April, around 280 companies applied, and six companies were selected for each track.
The six companies selected for the Proof-of-Concept Track are: 'EasyTask,' which operates an AI freelancer matching platform; 'LifeOnKorea,' which developed an interior DX solution; 'Hi,' which provides health AI services based on biomarker technology; 'Pong,' which operates AI-based personalized psychological counseling; 'Glorang,' which developed an AI psychological diagnosis-based personalized education platform; and 'HiLocal,' which provides AI interpretation and translation-based foreign language education services.
After being selected in June, the six Proof-of-Concept Track companies have been conducting validation projects since the Kick-off Day event held last month. A demo day to share validation results and promote the companies is scheduled for October.
On August 5, the final six companies were selected for the Future Track. These are: 'SP&E,' which developed a toxic gas removal sprinkler; 'LangCode,' which builds AI assistants tailored for enterprises; 'Taiga Global,' which created smart green walls based on moss panels; 'Rebit,' which operates a carbon emission management solution for businesses; 'BioCom,' which developed an AI healthcare solution based on precision analysis of biomarker metabolites; and 'OnceGlobal,' which operates a personalized medication management platform.
The six companies selected for the Future Track received high evaluations in innovation and growth potential, future collaboration synergy, and team capabilities, and will seek new business opportunities with Samsung C&T going forward. Samsung C&T plans to continue practical discussions to further develop and concretize the collaboration models proposed by the startups so that they can be realized as actual businesses. The selected companies will receive support for business cooperation opportunities such as service and business model validation, joint technology development, as well as value-up support including expert consulting and acceleration.
