Trump Says "Strong Possibility of Meeting Putin Soon"
On August 6 (local time), President Donald Trump of the United States said that there is a significant possibility he will meet with President Vladimir Putin of Russia soon.
According to the Associated Press and other sources, President Trump made this statement during an announcement at the White House regarding Apple's investment plans in the United States, saying, "There is a strong possibility that a meeting will be held soon."
However, he did not mention the possibility of a trilateral meeting between the United States, Russia, and Ukraine. On the same day, major foreign media outlets such as the New York Times reported that President Trump could meet with President Putin as early as next week, and that he plans to hold a trilateral meeting with President Volodymyr Zelensky of Ukraine afterward.
