Roborock H60 Hub Ultra Review
Dust Emptying Dock Removes Dust in 10 Seconds
Sleek Appearance, Heavy but Suitable for Home Interiors
Convenient Green Light Feature, Drawback: Heat Generation
Roborock, the Chinese company that has swept the Korean market with its robot vacuum cleaners, has now introduced a new stick-type cordless vacuum cleaner. By equipping the device with a "dust emptying dock"?a feature first introduced by Samsung and LG?the company is now making a bold entry into the cordless vacuum segment as well. In particular, while competing products are typically priced between 700,000 won and over 1,000,000 won, Roborock has taken a competitive approach by offering its product at an affordable price of 500,000 won. Will this become the company's "second best-selling product"?

I personally used Roborock's newly released cordless vacuum cleaner, the H60 Hub Ultra, for the past two weeks. My first impression upon seeing the product was that it looked neat and attractive. Although its height is nearly 1 meter (938×383×368mm), making it quite sizable, the design did not disrupt the home interior. Like Roborock's previous robot vacuum models, it features a clean combination of white and black. The overall feel was similar to that of other popular products (such as those from LG) known for their sleek designs.
Aside from the dust emptying dock, the vacuum itself is entirely black, maintaining a tidy appearance. It appeared that buttons and decorative elements were minimized to preserve the clean look. While I was initially surprised by the lack of various mode options, it turned out to be convenient for basic use.

However, the large size also means considerable weight. At 9.8kg, it is almost as heavy as a sack of rice. It was not easy for a woman to move and set up the device alone at first. However, since most of the weight comes from the dust emptying dock, it is not a major issue as long as the location is not changed frequently.
I tried out the newly added dust emptying dock feature in this model. After using the vacuum, simply attaching it to the dock triggered the dust emptying sound. Each time the vacuum was docked, the dust emptying function operated for about 10 seconds. Not having to empty the dustbin manually was extremely convenient. I also liked that the dustbin, visible through the vacuum head, always appeared clean. The dust emptying button on the dock would light up, but when the function was not in use and the vacuum was just stored, the light would turn off.
The noise generated during dust emptying was not quiet; it was about as loud as the vacuum cleaner itself during operation. However, since this noise only occurs when emptying dust, it was not particularly bothersome. It was also convenient that the battery automatically charged when the vacuum was placed on the dock. The internal dust bag has a capacity of 3 liters and can store dust for up to 100 days.
The most important aspect of any vacuum cleaner is its cleaning performance. The H60 Hub Ultra includes trending features in the vacuum industry, such as a green light for detecting dust and a tangle-free brush for hair. The most satisfying feature was the 140-degree LED green light. Even in dark areas, the light illuminated dust particles on floors that appeared clean. Thanks to this light, I was able to clean the floor even more thoroughly. The vacuum head also rotated smoothly, making it easy to clean corners and curved areas.

The vacuum offers three levels of suction power, which can be selected using the power button and suction selection button located on the vacuum head. It was also convenient to check the remaining battery level in real time on the screen while cleaning.
When using the highest suction level, the vacuum was able to pick up most debris, from hair to dirt. However, one drawback was that the battery drained quickly when operating at the highest setting. While this was not an issue for home use, since the vacuum could be docked and charged after cleaning, it could be a concern when used outside the home.
Additionally, after prolonged use, I noticed some heat coming from the vacuum head, where the motor and filter are located. A Roborock representative explained, "It is normal for products with motors or batteries to generate some heat during use."

Another satisfying feature was the tangle-free brush for hair. Roborock explained that its "Jaw Scraper Hybrid Brush" can separate hair without tangling. If you have long hair, you probably use your vacuum mainly for cleaning up hair. With vacuums lacking this feature, hair often gets tangled in the brush and needs to be cut out manually. For those struggling with hair cleanup, this will be the most satisfying function. The vacuum also uses 7,200 vibrations per minute to dislodge deeply embedded dust and hair.

In addition to the standard brush, the vacuum comes with a "motorized mini brush" for cleaning fabric surfaces like sofas and beds, and a "2-in-1 crevice brush" for cleaning narrow spaces. These accessories are often difficult to store, but with the H60 Hub Ultra, they can be conveniently stored in a compartment on the side of the dust emptying dock.
I also tried cleaning carpets with the motorized mini brush. It felt like it adhered more closely to the fabric than the standard brush, effectively sucking up dust. This brush also uses 6,000 vibrations per minute to remove dust mites. The filter system features five stages, allowing it to capture ultrafine dust as small as 0.3 microns.

From dust emptying to steam and mopping functions, rapid technological development has led to fierce competition in the vacuum cleaner industry, with companies racing to offer a variety of features. While the H60 Hub Ultra does not include steam or mopping capabilities, it offers all the essential features needed for cleaning at a much lower price than its competitors, making it highly cost-effective. For consumers who value just the right amount of functionality and a clean appearance without unnecessary extras, Roborock's product is worth considering.
