Yeongju City to Host Refreshing Urban Water Play "Ai! Shinna Festival"
A Cool Festival for Families to Beat the Heat
Taking Place in Punggi on August 9-10
Yeongju City announced on August 6 that it will hold the second program of the "Ai! Shinna Festival"?a summer water play event?over two days from August 9 to 10, in the front yard of the Punggi-eup Administrative Welfare Center (Punggi Lululala Floor Fountain).
This event is designed so that families can enjoy water activities together in the city center during the summer vacation season, without having to travel far. The city will set up three water pools, two water slides, and one toddler pool at the venue, and will also operate relaxation spaces where participants can rest. The event will run from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., with a break during lunchtime (12:30 p.m. to 1:30 p.m.).
A variety of experience booths will be available, including fan making, water balloon popping, balloon art, sand play, and photo booth sessions, offering children special memories. On the day of the event, any child or family can participate by registering on-site.
Jung Kyungsook, head of the Department of Children and Youth, said, "We have prepared the second 'Ai! Shinna Festival' following last year as a family-friendly program to overcome the crises of population decline and local extinction," and added, "We hope citizens will come to cool off and enjoy water play together."

In addition to this water play event, Yeongju City continues to operate seasonal family participation programs as part of the "Ai! Shinna Festival," such as the spring family walking event in June and the family Yutnori competition in October, aiming to create a community where children and families can be happy together.
