Gijang-gun in Busan Achieves 94.89% Consumer Coupon Distribution Rate... "Early Distribution to All Residents"
The consumer coupon distribution project for livelihood recovery, which is being promoted by Gijang-gun (Governor Jung Jongbok) in cooperation with the government, has been progressing smoothly, recording a distribution rate of 94.89% as of August 4.
In the first round of consumer coupon applications, which began on July 21, more than 164,000 people participated, and consumer coupons worth a total of 32.8 billion KRW were distributed. Gijang-gun attributed this achievement to the operation of the 'Livelihood Recovery Consumer Coupon TF (Task Force),' in which all department staff participated, as well as to systematic responses such as on-site support at town and township administrative welfare centers.
The county deployed 16 support personnel daily to assist with on-site application processing and systematically managed the entire process, including application, distribution, and post-management. In addition, a dedicated call center was operated to respond quickly to civil complaints, and a 'visiting application' service was implemented for elderly and disabled residents with mobility difficulties.
Governor Jung Jongbok personally participated in promotional campaigns to encourage applications, and the county plans to actively utilize the visiting service to ensure early distribution of consumer coupons to all residents.
