Gwangmyeong City Recruiting Participants for 'Climate Energy Instructor' Training Program Until August 7
Gwangmyeong City in Gyeonggi Province is accepting applications for participants in the "Climate Energy Instructor Training Program" until August 7, 2025, as part of its efforts to address the climate crisis and promote carbon neutrality.
This program will be held from August 12 to August 21, 2025. The curriculum includes topics such as responding to climate change, renewable energy and energy transition, resource circulation and the circular economy, biodiversity, and zero-energy buildings, all centered around carbon neutrality.
Those who complete the program will be eligible to apply for selection as a Climate Energy Instructor. Selected instructors will participate in capacity-building training and practical exercises, and will then take part in climate and environmental education activities in Gwangmyeong City.
Residents who wish to apply can download the application form from the Gwangmyeong City website, fill it out, and submit it via email. For more information, inquiries can be made to the Gwangmyeong City "1.5°C Climate Volunteer Support Center."

Since 2021, the city has been producing Climate Energy Instructors. Currently, a total of 26 instructors are active in the community, participating in programs such as the Gwangmyeong Bee Energy School, mobile carbon neutrality citizen education, and on-site carbon neutrality education.
