Osan to Add Seven More 'Saessak Station' School Commute Shelters by Year-End
On August 5, the city of Osan in Gyeonggi Province announced that it plans to install 'Saessak Station' school commute shelters at seven apartment complexes within the year.

View original image'Saessak Station' is a small shelter designed to allow children to safely wait for school vehicles even during rain, heat waves, or cold snaps. The city has been promoting this project since 2023, and by last year, it had completed installations at ten apartment complexes.
This year, the city plans to add Saessak Station shelters to seven more complexes: Halla Green Town, Shindong-A 2nd Complex, Hoban Summit Lassent, Unam Jugong 5th Complex, Dongbu Samhwan, Unam Daedong Hwangtobang, and Saegyo Daesang Foret.
Among these, the 11th Saessak Station opened at Halla Green Town on July 24. Within this month, installations are scheduled for Unam Jugong 5th Complex and Dongbu Samhwan. The remaining four complexes will also receive Saessak Stations sequentially within the year.

Lee Gwonjae, Mayor of Osan, stated, "The Saessak Station project began with the firm belief that children's routes to school must be absolutely safe," and added, "We will continue to pursue on-site, field-oriented policies in the future."
