[Invest&Law] Law Firm Hwawoo Recruits "M&A Big Deal Experts" Jin Kuk Lee and Soyeon Yoon
Law Firm Hwawoo (Limited) announced on August 6 that it has recruited lawyers Jin Kuk Lee and Soyeon Yoon.
Lee (30th class of the Judicial Research and Training Institute) is a "big deal expert" with over 20 years of experience in domestic and international mergers and acquisitions (M&A) and capital markets. He has led major transactions such as the sale of Lotte Rental, Hanwha's acquisition of Daewoo Shipbuilding & Marine Engineering (now Hanwha Ocean), the sale of Baedal Minjok, and the initial public offering (IPO) of SK IE Technology. In particular, he served as an advisor on MBK Partners' acquisition of Homeplus, which was recorded as the largest private equity deal in Asia.
Yoon (first bar exam) is a former legal director at Naver, where she led corporate strategy advisory work, including Naver's acquisition of Poshmark. She completed her studies at Harvard Law School in the United States and obtained her license to practice law in New York State. Recently, she earned a doctorate in commercial law from Seoul National University School of Law, further strengthening her expertise.
