Gyeonggi Province Recruiting Participants for Borderline Intelligence Youth Job Competency Enhancement Project
Gyeonggi Province is recruiting participants for the 'Borderline Intelligence Youth Job Competency Enhancement Project,' which supports the independence and entry into the labor market of young people with borderline intelligence, until the 15th of this month.
Individuals with borderline intelligence do not qualify as having intellectual disabilities, but due to insufficient intellectual, cognitive, or learning abilities, they face difficulties in learning, peer relationships, daily life, and social adaptation, and therefore require support and protection.
The recruitment targets young people aged 19 to 39 residing in Gyeonggi Province, with a total of 75 participants selected on a first-come, first-served basis from the northern, southeastern, and southwestern regions. Selected participants will take part in a program organized by course over approximately four months.

View original imageThe program consists of three courses: career consulting, basic job and job-centered training, and on-site internships and group coaching.
To apply, applicants must download the application form from the Gyeonggi Youth Portal (youth.gg.go.kr), fill it out, and submit it either via email to the person in charge (kh76@ggyc.kr) or through Google Forms. The final list of successful applicants will be announced on the 18th through the Gyeonggi Youth Portal.

Hong Seongdeok, Director of Lifelong Education at Gyeonggi Province, stated, "Young people with borderline intelligence fall into a blind spot in the general welfare system, so support programs that provide practical assistance for independence are necessary." He added, "Interest from various sectors, including the youth themselves, local governments, private companies, local communities, and the education sector, is urgently needed."
