Hana Financial Group Serves 800 Portions of Samgyetang to Seniors Amid Heatwave

Summer Health Meal Sharing Volunteer Activity Conducted

Hana Financial Group announced on August 2 that it carried out a "Summer Health Meal Sharing" volunteer activity at the Seoul Eunpyeong Senior Welfare Center to support seniors in maintaining their health during the summer heat.

Since 2016, Hana Financial Group has continued this sharing activity for seniors vulnerable to extreme heat, with voluntary participation from group employees and their families each year. This year, due to record-breaking heat waves, the volunteer activity focused on elderly individuals who are at increased risk of physical exhaustion and health issues.

First, Hana Financial Group prepared 800 servings of abalone samgyetang and served them as lunch to seniors visiting the Eunpyeong Senior Welfare Center. Group employees directly participated in the meal service, providing an opportunity for emotional connection with the seniors. For those who have difficulty moving or are unable to visit the welfare center, the group prepared "Happiness Boxes" containing samgyetang and chogye noodles, and personally delivered them to about 100 households.

A Hana Financial Group representative stated, "We carried out this volunteer activity to help seniors, who are easily marginalized in the heat, stay safe and healthy," and added, "Hana Financial Group will continue to lead the way in spreading a culture of sharing and realizing an inclusive society."
