'Barefoot Trail Advocate' Kim Dongyeon Vows to Push Ahead with 1,000 Heukhyanggi Barefoot Trails Without Delay
Kim Dongyeon, Governor of Gyeonggi Province, pledged to carry out the 'Gyeonggi Heukhyanggi Barefoot Trail 1000 Project' without any setbacks.
On August 2, Kim Dongyeon wrote on his social networking service (SNS) account, "To escape the heat, I took a walk on a barefoot trail near my home early Saturday morning," and added, "It's been almost a year since I started barefoot walking, but I usually manage to do it only about twice a week at best."

View original imageHe continued, "I started the 'Gyeonggi Heukhyanggi Barefoot Trail 1000 Project' last year because it is said to be very good for health," and explained, "In the first half of this year alone, we created over 400 new barefoot trails, and by August, a total of 562 barefoot trails are expected to be completed."
