Woori Bank to Host 28th Woori Art Contest 'Woori Artcon'
Woori Bank announced that it will host the 28th Woori Bank Art Contest, 'Woori Art Contest,' for two months starting in August.
First launched in 1995, this year marks the 28th edition of the 'Woori Art Contest,' which is a leading domestic art competition for children and youth, supported by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and the Ministry of Education. Award recipients are presented with numerous prizes and scholarships, including the Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Award and the Woori Bank President's Award.
The slogan of this year's contest is 'Fill a Corner of Imagination,' conveying a message that the imagination of children and youth will warmly fill a corner of society. In particular, this year's contest aims to be an 'inclusive art venue' by expanding participation opportunities for children with developmental disabilities. Through this, the contest seeks to emphasize the value of sharing and consideration embodied in the phrase 'a corner.'
Preliminary applications will be accepted for one month from August 1 to September 1, 2025, through the official contest website. Various events will also be prepared for early applicants and group registrants.
The final round will be held with 500 participants on Saturday, September 20, at KINTEX in Goyang, Gyeonggi Province. Finalists will be selected through preliminary screening by professors from major art universities. The final winners will be announced in October, and all final round participants will be given an opportunity to receive an award.
