Osan City Extends 10% Osaekjeon Incentive Through August
Get a 100,000 Won Benefit When Charging up to 1 Million Won per Month
Osan City in Gyeonggi Province announced on July 31 that it will extend the 10% incentive payment for the local currency "Osaekjeon," which was implemented this month to revitalize the local economy and ease the burden of living costs for citizens, through August.
Accordingly, if a user charges the maximum monthly incentive limit of 1 million won, they can receive a benefit of 100,000 won. Osaekjeon is a local-only currency that can be used at traditional markets and neighborhood commercial districts within the city.
The city expects that the extension of the Osaekjeon incentive, combined with the government's "Livelihood Recovery Consumption Coupon," will have a positive effect on boosting consumption and increasing sales for small business owners, especially as citizens' spending power has declined due to high prices.
