Since its inception in 2023, approximately 50 soldiers have participated in each session, receiving a highly positive response. The program is recognized for providing soldiers with valuable opportunities to engage in self-directed learning and personal growth during their military service. The previous 8th class was also successfully conducted over eight weeks, establishing itself as an exemplary case of close cooperation between Yeoncheon County and the military unit.
This 9th class of the "Reading Management College" will begin with a lecture by Professor Kim Eulho, Yeoncheon County's reading ambassador and widely known as the "Reading President." Over the next eight weeks, experts from various fields will deliver lectures on diverse life topics such as branding, AI, wine, and travel.
This initiative is expected to strengthen the function of lifelong education by sharing and spreading the value of the humanities through reading and writing, and to make a significant contribution to revitalizing the local reading ecosystem by utilizing knowledge platforms.
An official from Yeoncheon County stated, "The Reading Management College will be a valuable opportunity for soldiers to gain knowledge and insight through reading and, furthermore, to acquire the power to take charge of their own lives. We look forward to the active participation and growth of the soldiers in this 9th class."
