Coupang Eats Launches Summer Heat Illness Prevention Campaign
On-Site Heatwave Response Support
Coupang Eats Service (CES) announced on July 30 that it has launched a "Summer Heat Illness Prevention Campaign," starting in Seongnam, Gyeonggi Province.
CES plans to actively promote the prevention of heat-related illnesses among delivery partners by providing on-site support for heatwave response in cooperation with local governments in various regions. The campaign began in Seongnam on July 29 and will be held sequentially in Namdong-gu, Incheon (July 31), Gangnam-gu, Seoul (August 8), and Geumcheon-gu (August 13). The Seongnam event was held in collaboration with the Seongnam branch of the Ministry of Employment and Labor, the Gyeonggi Southern Headquarters of the Korea Transportation Safety Authority, and the Korea Platform Freelancer Labor Mutual Aid Association. CES also plans to work with local public institutions and organizations for the upcoming campaigns.
On the 29th, Coupang Eats service held a summer heat illness prevention campaign in the Seongnam area and is providing various safety supplies to delivery partners.

In addition to bottled water and ion drinks, participants can win various safety items such as helmets, portable fans, and lights through a 100% chance event. At the Seongnam event, helmets and cooling sleeves were provided to all 200 participating delivery partners.
With the arrival of the hot season, CES is implementing a variety of measures to support the prevention of heat-related illnesses for delivery partners. CES has supplied bottled water, ion drinks, and other items to 28 rest areas nationwide where delivery partners can take breaks. The locations of these rest areas are continuously announced in the app's notices, and any delivery partner can use them.
A Coupang Eats Service representative stated, "We are continuing our heat illness prevention campaign so that delivery partners can operate safely even during the hottest season," and added, "We will do our best to support the safety and health of delivery partners during the summer."
