In response to the recent case of human rights violations against foreign workers in Naju, the Jeonnam Police are launching extensive improvement measures.
According to the Jeonnam Provincial Police Agency on July 29, they will begin a month-long intensive campaign to promote the protection of foreign workers' human rights starting this day.
The Jeonnam Police plan to focus on field-oriented promotional activities aimed at raising awareness of human rights at foreign worker employment sites.
The Jeonnam Police will cooperate with local governments, the Ministry of Employment and Labor, and other relevant agencies to identify the status of foreign worker employment in each city and county. Local police and mobile patrol units will visit sites and conduct intensive promotional activities, such as distributing 'Foreign Worker Human Rights Protection Guides.'
