Hanwha Ocean Wins Order for Two VLCCs Worth 353.6 Billion KRW
Hanwha Ocean announced on the 29th that it has secured an order worth 353.6 billion KRW for two Very Large Crude Carriers (VLCCs) from a shipowner in the Oceania region.
These vessels are equipped with a fuel reduction device developed by Hanwha Ocean, which is designed to minimize carbon emissions.
According to Clarkson Research, a British shipbuilding and shipping market analysis agency, Hanwha Ocean has built the largest number of VLCCs among the 1,015 currently in operation, with a total of 198 vessels. This represents a market share of approximately 19.5%.
