Cho Gapju, Chairman of Seoul·Hanyang Country Club, stated, "We decided to make this donation with the hope that it will offer some comfort and hope to residents affected by the unexpected heavy rains," and added, "We will continue to engage in various social contribution activities and pursue mutual growth with the local community."
Since its opening in 1964, Seoul·Hanyang Country Club has gone beyond being a simple sports facility, growing together with the local community and carrying out a wide range of social contribution activities.
Since 1995, the club has donated year-end charity funds to Goyang City every year. In addition to these year-end donations, the club raises and donates over 100 million won annually to help disaster victims whenever natural disasters occur. Since 2023, the club has also selected golf scholarship recipients, providing more than 200 million won in scholarships and benefits each year to promising young golfers who would otherwise have difficulty receiving in-depth golf training.
A representative from the Gyeonggi Community Chest of Korea, Sarangui Yeolmae, said, "We are deeply grateful for the warm generosity of Seoul·Hanyang Country Club, which always takes the lead in social contribution whenever the local community faces hardship," and added, "We will do our utmost to ensure that the donated funds are delivered with care to neighbors suffering from flood damage, so that they can provide real help."
