Hanul Headquarters Announces 2026 KHNP Support Project Application Period
Online Applications Open from July 25
Korea Hydro & Nuclear Power Hanul Nuclear Power Headquarters (Director Lee Seyong) will be accepting applications for the "2026 KHNP Support Project" from July 25 until 6:00 PM on August 25.
This support project is being implemented in accordance with the "Act on Assistance to Areas Surrounding Power Plants" to promote economic revitalization and improve the welfare of residents in areas surrounding nuclear power plants. KHNP has continued this project since 2006 through its own fund.
The 2026 support project categories at Hanul Nuclear Power Headquarters include a total of six areas: ▲Educational Scholarship Projects ▲Regional Economic Cooperation Projects ▲Surrounding Environment Improvement Projects ▲Regional Welfare Projects ▲Regional Culture Promotion Projects ▲Other Support Projects.
Starting this year, an online application system will be fully introduced for the convenience of applicants, and the existing offline application method will also be available at the Hanul Energy Farm Regional Communication Office.
In addition, to enhance local residents' understanding of the support project and encourage participation, regional information sessions will be held: at 2:00 PM on July 31 at the Hanul Energy Farm Main Auditorium (for surrounding areas), and at 2:00 PM on August 1 at the Giseong-myeon Happiness Sharing Center Auditorium (for non-surrounding areas).

Director Lee Seyong stated, "The KHNP Support Project, which began in 2006, is celebrating its 20th anniversary, and as one of the residents of Uljin County, I find it meaningful that the achievements over the years are now coming to fruition," adding, "We ask for your interest and participation so that many effective projects for regional development and welfare improvement can be submitted."
