Namwon Astronomical Science Center Offers 'Day and Night Package Program'
Free Stargazing at the Observatory Until August 31
The city of Namwon in North Jeolla Province will operate a 'Day and Night Package Program' at the Namwon Astronomical Science Center until August 31.
According to the city on July 25, the Day and Night Package Program allows daytime visitors to the observatory to enjoy nighttime observation on the same day free of charge, and nighttime visitors to enjoy daytime observation on the following day free of charge. This program is only available to those who purchase paid admission tickets.
The Namwon Astronomical Science Center has prepared new and diverse science experience programs by utilizing 14 types of science exhibits (such as sundials and Jagyeokru) at the Children's Science Experience Center in addition to the existing Aerospace Observatory.
In particular, the 4K Full Dome 4D Theater, which opened last March and is the only one of its kind in the Honam region, is expected to further enhance enjoyment and educational value by providing both thrilling adventures and fascinating scientific knowledge.
Mayor Choi Kyungsik said, "To mark the summer vacation, we have prepared a package experience program where you can enjoy both daytime solar observation and nighttime stargazing at once," adding, "I hope that all tourists will fully enjoy their summer holidays and make happy memories in Namwon, a city leading culture and future industries."
