Award-Winning Ulsan Crafts to Compete at the 55th Korea Craft Competition
25 Award-Winning Works in 6 Categories Including "Ulsan Scent Bangudae Diffuser" to Be Submitted
Ulsan City announced that 25 works showcasing the creativity and technical skills of local craft artists will be submitted to the 55th Korea Craft Competition.
These entries are award-winning works from the 26th Ulsan Craft Competition held in June, and include a diverse range of pieces across six categories: wood lacquer, textiles, metal, ceramics, paper, and others.
In particular, the grand prize-winning piece, "Ulsan Scent Bangudae Diffuser," as well as many works featuring patterns from the Bangudae Petroglyphs?which were recently inscribed as a UNESCO World Heritage site?add special significance in celebration of this global cultural heritage listing.
The entries will be physically submitted from July 28 to July 29, and will be installed on August 8. The winners will be selected through judging conducted over two days, from August 11 to August 12.
The finalists will be exhibited at the Cheongju Culture Factory Gallery from November 28 to November 30.
