NongHyup Financial Group Volunteers to Support Flooded Farms
On July 24, NongHyup Financial Group announced that it had carried out volunteer work to assist farms affected by heavy rainfall in Geumma-myeon, Hongseong, South Chungcheong Province. The volunteer activity was attended by Chairman Lee Chanwoo, the financial group’s volunteer team, Baek Namseong, Deputy President of Agricultural and Public Finance at NongHyup Bank, as well as about 60 employees.
Despite the heat wave, Chairman Lee Chanwoo and the volunteer team helped clean up waste and remove sediment from strawberry greenhouses that had been flooded.
NongHyup Financial Group is providing company-wide manpower support to help restore areas damaged by the recent heavy rain. In addition, the group donated air conditioners worth a total of 30 million KRW to Gapyeong, Gyeonggi Province, which was declared a special disaster area, for use in shelters and village halls. The company has also implemented a comprehensive financial support plan at an early stage. Key support measures include prompt on-site inspections for crop disaster insurance compensation, financial support, preferential interest rates, and repayment deferment for customers affected by the disaster, deferred credit card payment billing, deferred insurance premium payments, and temporary exemption of ATM and counter transaction fees in the affected areas.
