Korea Tourism Organization: "Nominate 'Korea Tourism Star' Candidates and Win Prizes"
The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and the Korea Tourism Organization announced on July 23 that they will be holding a nationwide nomination event for the "2025 Korea Tourism Star" awards until August 6.
Now in its 15th year, the "Korea Tourism Star" awards aim to promote outstanding examples of domestic tourism and increase public interest in traveling within Korea. The awards are given to tourism resources, individuals, and organizations that have contributed to the development of Korean tourism over the past year.
A total of 10 awards will be presented across three categories: tourist attractions, tourism content, and contributors to tourism development. Among these, the nomination event will be held in eight fields: ▲Tourist Attraction of the Year ▲Promising Tourist Attraction ▲Region-Specialized Content ▲Regional Cooperation Tourism Model ▲Innovative Tourism Policy ▲Contributor to Tourism Industry Development (companies and individuals) ▲Honorary Contributor ▲Promotional Media.
Anyone in the country can participate, and further details are available on the "Visit Korea" website operated by the Korea Tourism Organization. Participants will have the chance to win various prizes through a drawing.
Candidates nominated by the public and by local governments nationwide will undergo a rigorous document and on-site evaluation by an expert panel. The final awardees will be announced in November. The selected recipients (organizations) will receive the Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Award.
