Sangmyung University announced on July 23 that it will jointly host the '2025 Korea-Japan AI Cultural Content Workshop' with the Faculty of Design at Kyushu University, a national university in Japan.

This workshop will take place over three days, from July 24 to July 26, at the Hannuri Hall on Sangmyung University's Cheonan Campus.

With the theme 'The Encounter of Generative AI and Dynamic Creativity,' the workshop will feature team projects focused on AI-based real-time content production, expert lectures, hands-on AI technology sessions, and project presentations.

The main objective is to foster collaboration between participants from Korea and Japan, encouraging the exchange of cultural imagination and creativity.

The core practical programs include: ▲3D Gaussian Splatting (3DGS), a technology that predicts the color and density of 3D scenes; ▲Neural Radiance Fields (NeRF), a computer vision technology that generates and renders 3D spaces based on neural networks; ▲Postshot, which enables video-based 3D modeling; and ▲Luma AI, a technology that automatically creates high-quality videos and 3D models from text or images. These technologies will be used in content creation projects during the workshop.

Professor Jo Ilhyeon stated, "This workshop will not only provide students with an opportunity to enhance their global perspective and collaboration skills, but also serve as a new model for AI-based content creation education that integrates artistic, design, and engineering viewpoints."

Meanwhile, Sangmyung University plans to expand practical and creative educational opportunities in the AI and digital content fields by collaborating with leading universities and institutions both domestically and internationally.
