Korea Hydro & Nuclear Power's Hanul Nuclear Headquarters (Head Lee Seyong) held the "2nd Hanul Enthusiasm Festival" at Hanul Energy Farm over two days on July 19 and 20. As part of the festival's program, the headquarters conducted both "Career and Academic Consulting: Meeting My Future" and "Energetic Challenge, Nuclear Golden Bell!" events.
The one-on-one "Career and Academic Consulting" was designed to provide future generations with direction for their career paths. The program offered interest-based career exploration activities for elementary students, while middle and high school students received customized academic counseling based on an analysis of their academic performance.
Experts from consulting agencies in the Seoul metropolitan area were dispatched to the event, providing participants with detailed subject-specific strategies and earning the trust of parents. For third-year high school students, mock test result analyses were provided to assist in university entrance exam preparation, which contributed to a high level of overall satisfaction.
The "Nuclear Golden Bell," introduced for the first time this year, was organized to provide local students with a correct understanding of Korea Hydro & Nuclear Power and nuclear energy, as well as opportunities for independent exploration.
Approximately 90 middle and high school students participated in the survival quiz competition. Amid fierce competition, Woo Seojin, a second-year student at Nuclear Meister High School, emerged as the final winner and received a scholarship of 1 million won.
In addition, the program "Our AVENGERS," organized in collaboration with Uljin Police Station and Uljin Fire Station, allowed participants to wear police and firefighter uniforms, ride police motorcycles and fire trucks, and gain hands-on experience with future public service careers.
One student who participated in the Nuclear Golden Bell said, "I have always been interested in nuclear power, and I think studying general physics in preparation for the competition helped me achieve good results. The process of taking on the challenge with my friends was truly enjoyable, and if I have the chance, I would definitely recommend my juniors participate next year."
Head Lee Seyong stated, "I am grateful that we were able to support students, who are our future generation, as they find their own paths. We will continue to develop a variety of programs to help not only local children but also parents alleviate their concerns about career and academic planning."
