Gochang County to Hold 'Sin Jae Hyo Literature Award Reading Reflection Contest'

Gochang County in North Jeolla Province will hold the 'Gochang Sin Jae Hyo Literature Award Reading Reflection Contest' until August 31.
According to the county on July 23, anyone nationwide can participate in the contest, which will be held in two categories: youth and general.

View original imageThe designated books for the contest are previous winners of the Gochang Sin Jae Hyo Literature Award: "Geumpa" by Kim Hae-sook, "Yeombu" by Park Iseon, "Joseon Person Hirayama Hideo" by Lee Junho, and "Supporting Actor Kim Sunhyo" by Lee Sujeong.
To enter, participants must complete an application form and a reading reflection, then submit them via email. The forms can be downloaded from the county office website.
For a fair evaluation, both external and internal judges will be appointed to review the submissions. A total of 19 reading reflections will be selected through the judging process, and awards will be given in October in the following categories: Grand Prize (500,000 KRW), Excellence Prize (300,000 KRW), Merit Prize (200,000 KRW), and Encouragement Prize (100,000 KRW).
Na Yunok, head of the Culture and Arts Department, stated, "We hope that the reading reflection contest will help promote the Gochang Sin Jae Hyo Literature Award both domestically and internationally, and spread the joy of writing. We will do our best to enhance Gochang's reputation nationwide and make full use of various cultural contents."
