Icheon Offers Lifelong Learning Delivery Program
Recruitment of "Baedal-ui Gangjwa" Learning Teams Open Until August 8
On July 22, the city of Icheon in Gyeonggi Province announced that it is recruiting learning teams for the "Icheon-si Baedal-ui Gangjwa" program, which allows residents to take lifelong learning courses without restrictions of time or location.
This program delivers requested lifelong learning courses to the desired time and place when a group of five or more citizens applies for a course of their choice.
The available courses are standard courses based on the seven-category classification of lifelong learning programs. The seven-category classification includes: basic literacy, academic supplementation, vocational skills, culture and arts, humanities and liberal arts, civic participation, and adult career development.
The instructor fee is 40,000 won per hour, and teams can apply for up to 20 hours. The recruitment period is from August 4 to August 8, and the results will be announced on the city website on August 11.
Applicants must submit a learning plan, instructor registration form, and operation plan when applying for a course. For more details, refer to the recruitment notice on the city website or contact the Lifelong Learning Team of the Department of Autonomous Education.

An official from Icheon-si stated, "Through the Baedal-ui Gangjwa program, office workers and young people preparing for employment, who have been excluded from lifelong education due to time and space constraints, will be able to access a variety of learning opportunities."
