This VR experience training center is a project promoted in cooperation with the Ministry of Employment and Labor, the Korea Occupational Safety and Health Agency, Gimhae City, and the Gimhae Foreign Workers Support Center, amid a growing need to prevent industrial accidents among foreign workers.
The training center offers VR safety education, which is operated continuously alongside weekly Korean language classes for foreign workers, allowing them to experience industrial accidents virtually and acquire safety knowledge.
In particular, workers who previously faced difficulties with traditional training due to language barriers can now participate in more effective education by experiencing industry-specific accident scenarios in VR that reflect their actual workplaces.
The agency plans to provide a total of 33 types of VR content, aiming to raise awareness of industrial safety and strengthen accident prevention capabilities.
Kim Hyunjung, President of the agency, emphasized, "Language should not be a barrier to safety," and added, "I hope this VR experience training center will become the seed of safety for preventing industrial accidents among foreign workers."
