Daejeon Vocational High Schools Take On the Challenge of Employment in Germany
11 Students Participate in Two Fields: Machinery and Electrical/Electronics
Students from Donga Meister High School in Daejeon and Chungnam Technical High School are taking on the challenge of employment in Germany.
The Daejeon Office of Education held the "2025 Global On-site Training German Internship Information Session for Vocational High Schools" at Donga Meister High School and Chungnam Technical High School from July 21 to 22.
This information session provided guidance on the operation of the "Global On-site Training German Internship" program for vocational high schools, introduced employment opportunities in Germany, and included a Q&A session about working in Germany with current employees participating in the German company "Ausbildung."
The German internship program, which began last year, selects students who have participated in the German employment preparation process from the second semester of their first year to the first semester of their third year at the two hub schools. In August, a fair and transparent selection process will be conducted, and starting in September, 11 students will participate in a seven-week internship in the fields of machinery and electrical/electronics in regions such as Regensburg, Bavaria, Germany, challenging themselves at the German company "Ausbildung."
A third-year employee in the Elektroniker (electronics specialist) field at Ausbildung, who attended the meeting and shared insights about living in Germany, said, "I was glad to have the opportunity to talk with vocational high school students from Daejeon about employment in Germany at today's session. I am satisfied with my life in Germany, and many Korean students around me are adapting well, so I hope you will be confident and take on the challenge of working in Germany."
