View original imageOn July 22, Samsung Card announced that it had signed a business agreement for mutual cooperation with Starbucks at the Samsung Card headquarters in Jung-gu, Seoul.
With this agreement, the two companies plan to launch a partnership card within this year and pursue strategic collaboration, including joint marketing activities.
Starbucks has previously maintained an exclusive partnership with Hyundai Card to issue a private label credit card (PLCC), but this new partnership will break the exclusivity.
The contract period between Starbucks and Hyundai Card runs until October, and the two companies are currently negotiating whether to extend the agreement.
A Samsung Card representative stated, "Through this collaboration with Starbucks, a leader in coffee culture, we plan to offer customers differentiated products and services."
